I recieved the following email on 4-1-02, so I hope it wasn't just some cruel April Fool's Day joke, because that would make me cry for a really long time. From : "_ Jelden"To : ae615@seorf.ohiou.edu Subject : movie nights!! Date : Mon, 01 Apr 2002 08:53:30 -0500 Hey So i'm searchin the web lookin for the lyrics to masterpiece songs from Cannible the Musical and i fell upon your site on your Movie night. This pleased me very much because you may or may not be surprised to hear that there are others carrying out the same honorable tradition that you do. Well close. Me being at 17 year old and not wanting to go and get drunk and get high had to find something to do to catch my and others like me attention and entertain ment. So What I hold weekley is call CHEESY MOVIE NIGHT. The name can be a little misleading because we have watched great movies like Willow and many are pure comedy and not serious. But every Thursday (and usually exclusivly Thursday) me and my cloest friends get together and watch a movie that we either saw at the video store, already had, or my friend Wimphfimer has seen because he has seen almost every movie and often suggest what we should watch for CMN. We only started back in Sept of 2001. To date we've watched 28 movies and 1 of them was not an "Offical CMN". We dont have any members so to say. Some people are regulars and others like myself, and my friends Josh and Mat have been to eitehr all(me) or 90%(Josh and Mat) of the movie nights. No "rules" have been made. I agree though that the full viewing of a movie is not nesscary in fact at some times its unbearable. CMN has never takin place anywhere but my room which is in the basement and half the legnth of the house so there is plenty of room. Although i dissagree with your assesment that fewer is better. I have had movie nights with 4 or so people and my heart drops. Usually its around 10-15. The highest ever has been 23 i believe. Here is a list of the movies we have watched. Any suggestions lemme know... 1) 9-13-01-Army Of Darkenss (FIRST EVER CMN, CHOICE MADE BASED ON COVER) Unoffical)9-15-01-Uncle Sam (so shitty) 2)9-20-01-Goulies (cute little mosters) 3)9-27-01-Jack Frost (best scene is Shannon Elizabeth getting fucked to death by a snowman) 4)10-4-01-Dungeon Master 5)10-11-01-Evil Dead (Best Trilogy Ever) 6)10-18-01-Evil Dead 2 (Dido) 7)10-25-01-Texas Chainsaw Massacre 8)11-1-01-Dollman vs. The Demonic Toys (also shitty, but funny) 9)11-8-01-Troll (vangar) 10)11-15-01-Death Race 2000 (love this one, just got it off Ebay on DVD) 11)11-22-01-Dawn of the Dead (My Favorite CM yet) 12)12-6-01-Dolemite (Rudy Ray Moore is great) 13)12-13-01-Willow (vangar) 14)12-20-01-Day of the Dead (not as good as dawn) 15)12-27-01-Toxic Avenger (troma videos, great) 16)01-3-02-Terror Firmer (totally sick) 17)01-10-02-Night of the Living Dead (classic) 18)01-17-02-Killer Klowns from Outer Space (hehe) 19)01-24-02-Death Sport (poor atempt at a sequel) 20)01-31-02-The Hills Have Eyes (really cool closing scene) 21)02-7-02-Leperacaun in Space (dissapointed that Heidi from Home Improvement didn't get naked) 22)02-21-02-Evil Ed (pretty sick) 23)02-28-02-Redneck Zombies (messed up zombies always great) 24)03-7-02-House (pretty humorous, ending totally not making sense) 25)03-14-02-Dead Alive (great prolonged death scene) 26)03-21-02-Cannible The Musical (I bought this one, love it so much) 27)03-28-02-The Story Of Ricky (head explosion and dub english) This week i think we're gonna watch Deliverance because i just got it on DVD. It's nice to see others wasting their lives away with movies like we have done for so many years (it's going on 4 years according to my bad math...maybe 5?) More on this story as I recieve it, and then update it way behind schedule. -Richard "Ricky Douglas' Moorehead
