Movie Night Season 3 (January 1, 2000 - November 25, 2000)
Movie Night Season Three History (As of 11-25-2000)
(Bad Movies.ORG The Name Says it All.)
Season 3 started with the first Movie Night of the new year, 2000.
On January 1 we started the new season, to much success. New rules have
been implemented, so keep your eyes open.

Night One: Saturday, 1-1-2000. First Movie Night of the year 2000.
We were kind of hoping there would be some kind of computer catastrophie
and whatnot, but we were let down, as usual. We had this at some guy's
house who's name escapes me, but needless to say he wasn't there. A very
good Movie Night, even though we waited around for 2 hours because we
didn't have a VCR until Nick went home and got his. Honorable mention to
Ellen Sims.
PEOPLE: Jesse, Jimi, Leo, Mia, Miranda, Nick P., Richard, Ruben
CANS OF SODA: 36 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 15
AT: Undisclosed Location
MOVIES WATCHED: Real TV Forbidden Videos vol. 2, Jawbreaker, Dead Man on
Campus

Night Two: Friday, 1-7-2000. We technically got the movies and
soda around 7, but didn't start watching movies until around 10. See, it
was at Jimi's house which is out in B.F.E. and it took like 40 minutes to
get there. We went there and had to pick Ruben up around 9, so we hung
out for a little then went back and got him, and then came back. Anyway,
after the movies me, Nick, Leo, and Ruben got lost while trying to come
home on backroads at like 4 a.m. Pretty interesting. Honorable mention
to Jimi's mom Mrs. Yanity, as well as his sister Mia. UPDATE:2-21-00
--After over a month, I've finally added that Mrs. Yanity brought us
donughts that night. They were much appreciated, and thanks for the
mullet sticker Mrs. Y!

MOVIES WATCHED: Idle Hands, Falling Down, Puppet Master

Night Three: Saturday, 1-15-2000. This has got to be the most
disgraceful Movie Night ever, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. I had even suggested
to Leo that we make it unofficial because so many rules had been broken so
blatantly. First of all, hardly anyone payed attention to the movies,
with the exception of myself, Leo, Nick, and Jimi. Secondly, Chris and
Nickie broke more rules than I can mention, but I'll do my best to do so.
#1: Nickie sucked his dick while sitting right next to Leo, and many of us
saw it. #2: they went off and had sex not but 30 feet away, IF THAT. #3:
Mia and Miranda came and Chris told them none of us were here, even though
we were all there. #4: Jon was there and Chris assured me he WOULD NOT
be. #5: As predicted, Chris' dad came in right when we had finished and
non cordially kicked us out. Chris is banned from Movie Night for at
least a month, pending. Nickie is banned indefinatley. Jon's banishment
continues (see: rules), and we will NEVER have Movie night at Chris' house
again, EVER. Movie Night is not meant to be a time to have sex and ignore
the movies. Get it straight, and no Chris and Nickie I'm not mad at you,
just pissed that even though it's Chris' house you think that it was
acceptable behavior for Movie night. If it was any other night I could
understand. Control yourselves, and we'll let you know when you can come
back. Additional Notes: Mia and Miranda came back after calling because
Chris had told them it was at Leo's house. Dishonorable mention to Chris'
dad. Ruben, consider yourself lucky that you were not there.
PEOPLE: Chris, J, Jimbo, Jimi, Leo, Mia (0.5), Miranda (0.5), Nickie,
Nick P., Richard
CANS OF SODA: 28 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 12
AT: Chris' House
MOVIES WATCHED: Usual Suspects, Children of the Corn, Adventures of Baron
Munchausen

Night Four: Friday Night, 1-21-2000. Pretty good movie night from
start to finish, except 2 of the 3 movies sucked. We thought Slaughter
High was pretty bad, but that was nothing compared to Splatter University.
PEOPLE: Jimi, Leo, Nick P., Richard, Ruben
CANS OF SODA: 24 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 18
AT: Richard's house
MOVIES WATCHED: Detroit Rock City, Slaughter High, Splatter University

Night Five: Saturday Night, 1-29-2000. Last week Leo, Ruben, Nick,
Jimi, and I all decided to dedicate a night to ourselves, wherein we get
to choose all the movies and also have it at their house. Tonight's was
Leo's night. Pretty massive and confusin movie night with a lot of new
appearances and whatnot. Next week is: Ruben's night. Honorable mention
to: Brandon Smith, D, Frostycock, Wolfe, Matt, Miranda.
PEOPLE: Ashley (0.5), CP (0.5), Eliza (0.5), Elliot (0.5), Jed (0.5), Jimi,
Leo, Mia (0.5), Nick P., Phil (0.5), Richard, Ruben

MOVIES WATCHED: Weak in Revew clips, Martin, Godfather part 2, The Quick
and the Dead

Night Six: Saturday Night, 2-5-2000. This was Ruben's night to
choose all the stuff, and I think he did a pretty good job. Don't knock A
Rat's Tale before you see it, we thought it was a pretty good movie.
Anyway, next week is my movie night, so expect a great write-up for that one.
Oh yeah, Jimi attained honorable status at this night. he is the last
person we'll induct unless we kick someone else out or something, thus
freeing up a spot.
PEOPLE: Jed, Jimi, Leo, Meatloaf (0.5), Mia (0.5), Miranda (0.5), Nick P.,
Pine, Richard, Ruben

MOVIES WATCHED: A Rat's Tale, A Nightmare on Elm Street part 1, Planet of
the Apes

Night Seven: Friday Night, 2-11-2000. It was my night to choose
the movies and the poison, err, soda. It was of course, at my house. All
the movies were good, as you can come to expect from me (I was
contemplating getting Batman and Robin just so I could write bad things
about it, but we found Cobra first, so..) Anyway all the movies ruled,
and I challenge you to find a movie with as many awesome catchphrases as
Cobra had. Dishonorable mention: My mom and her redneck boyfriend, who
lives at my house and I hate, Joe Tritipo. Next week: Nick's night.
PEOPLE: Jimi, Jed, Leo, Mia (0.5), Nick P., Richard, Ruben
CANS OF SODA: 23 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 15
AT: Richard's House
MOVIES WATCHED: Cobra, Bride of Chucky, Cemetary Man

Night Eight: Friday Night, 2-18-2000. This was Nick's night. It
wasn't bad except for the fact that he got 4 movies and one skate video,
and in total it lasted about 8 or 9 hours. Good otherwise, even though
personally I'd seen all the movies except American Graffitti, which in all
honesty what I saw of it wasn't that great. I got there a little late
because I was sick. Honorable mention: Mia and Miranda, who yet again got
our hopes up of staying but natuarally had to go to the Greenery or
something, typical girl thing to do. Also, Jimi (I really hate that
spelling, sorry) only counts as .5 because he was there, but he was
playing video games in the other room almost the whole night and hardly
saw any movies.
PEOPLE: Jed, Jimi (0.5), Leo, Nick P., Pine, Richard, Ruben, Tim
CANS OF SODA: 42 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 12
AT: Nick P.'s House
MOVIES WATCHED: American Graffitti, Nervous Breakdown (0.5 --Skate video),
U.H.F., Apocolypse Now, Friday

Night Nine: Friday Night, 2-25-00. Ok, I know this was supposed to
be Jimi's night and I'm sure all 3 people who read this are very
dissapointed. Jimi had some bondo tournament to go to, and he never got
back in contact with me about having it the next night, so we went ahead
and had it without him. His night will be re-scheduled sometime in the
future. Just a note, even though he was doing some bondo thing, I bet I
could still kick his ass. Anyway, it was a short and weird movie night.
I was kind of annoyed to begin with, and then my VCR kept fucking up, so
we brought the other one down and it kept fucking up, so I guess it's the
TV. Also the basement smelled like ammonia because I guess my mom had
cleaned out the toilet with that blue toilet bowl stuff, so we were all
irritated and sneezing all over the places because the smell messed with
our noses and whatnot. We ended up watching 2.5 movies.
PEOPLE: Leo, Nick P., Richard, Ruben
CANS OF SODA: 16 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 6
AT: Richard's House
MOVIES WATCHED: Weak in Revue clips (0.5), Death Wish 1, Rambo: First Blood

Night Ten: Saturday, 3-4-00. Leo and I did not attend this Movie Night
for various political reasons that just wont stand, man. Also I wanted to
hang out with Jed and Jimi, both of which I don't see very often, and
since they didn't want to go to movie night based on not being friends
with over 50% of the people who did go, I weighed the options and chose
not to go. Leo had pretty much the same feelings as Jimi and Jed. Also,
Leo and I are trying to convince Ruben that we shouldn't have MN at
non-member's houses anymore because it really is harder on everyone
involved to find the place, get there, and all that. True, we'd had it at
Pine's house once before, but it sucked, so I was naturally a little
biased to begin with. According to Nick, the movie night was fun. I
still have reservations about having it at non-member's houses, but until
Ruben, Leo, and I can come to some sort of agreement about what is to be
done with the situation, I guess the trend will continue. Oh god, I just
used the word 'trend' when referring to Movie Night............SHIT!!!
My personal standpoint is that Movie Night should revert back to the old
formula, i.e. 5 or 6 guys who all get along watching bad movies and making
fun of people. Some people don't think that's how it should be, so I
guess it can never relive it's past glory, and we'll have to build a new
heritage from here. Don't get me wrong, I am friends with all the guys
who went, but it just seems weird to me that after coming once or twice
they want to come every time, and I mean EVERY TIME. I really have
nothing against that, but where were they a year ago? Hell, almost two
years ago? Very few of them expressed any interest in MN at all, so
what's the dilly with it being all the rage nowadays? Did we do something
wrong? Something right? Heck if I know, god dang it. I guess I have a
hard time accepting that things have to change, be it for better or for
worse. Movie Night will never be an exclusive, invite-only, small group
again, at least not for any extended period of time. I'm ok with that
aspect I guess, but I feel kind of bad for other MN regulars who don't
know the flood of new participants very well and have to integrate with
them, or basically be alienated from MN because they don't like the
people. It would suck donkey ass if a Jed or a Leo decided to stop coming
just because they don't like the newcomers. It would be pitiful and I
would know that that would be the end of Movie Night. Oh well. I don't
want MN to end by any means, so don't read too far into that. I think
I've ranted enough for tonight.

MOVIES WATCHED: Howard the Duck, Stoned Age, Breakfast of Champions
--NO HORROR!!!!! Trust me, I made it very clear to Nick that this
would not be acceptable again. there must be a horror movie present at
every Movie Night!!!!! Horror movies are the backbone of MN and don't you
fuckin forget it, beeotch!!!!!--

Night Eleven: Friday Night, 3-10-00. Whoo boy...we had it at
Jimi's house. Got all horror movies in retribution for last week. I
don't want to say a lot about this m.n. because more than likely someone
will bitch at me again. I should invent some kind of device that emits a
powerful sonic beam which debilitates my foes. Not like I need anyone
anyway, you ungrateful bastards. Honorable mention: Mia and Jimi's mom,
neither of whom want me. By the way, this is technically Movie Night #75,
but no one realized it at the time so we didn't do anything special.
P.S.: Jimi's night to pick movies was technically this night but we
decided to not give him the privilage of choosing his own movies, due to
the fact that he had that bondo tournament a few weeks before. Tough luck.

MOVIES WATCHED: The Faculty, The Dorm that Dripped Blood, Night Breed

Night Twelve: Friday Night, 3-17-00. Nick was out of town during
this one, and Leo was leaving the next day so we had it that night. Ezra
came for the first time in a long time, even if just for half. D missed
being (0.5) by about 10 minutes of a movie. Maybe next time, brutha.
Carson was on spring break from college so he came back also. Man it'll
be sweet in summer when everyone will be able to come regardless of school.
Ruben didn't show up due to prior engagements. Honorable mention to Mia,
Miranda, and Leo's parents.

MOVIES WATCHED: Rambo: First Blood 2, Frighteners, Money Talks

Night Thirteen: Wednesday Night, 3-22-00. Spring Break, so we had
a MN on a week night. Those are usually fun, and this one was no
different. Me, Jed, Ruben, and Jimi went to Lancaster earlier in the day,
so we brought back some cool stuff. Leo got back in town this day, so we
had MN. Lots of people are out of town which is kind of depressing, but
well, actually, who cares. P.S., this week we started a mini-marathon of
Rock 'n Roll/Zombie movies, i.e. Horror with some kind of rock element.
This week's was Black Roses. Stranglemania best match: Cactus Jack vs.
Terry Funk.
PEOPLE: Jed, Jimi, Leo, Richard, Ruben

MOVIES WATCHED: Stranglemania 1, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, Death Wish
2, Black Roses

Night Fourteen: Saturday Night, 3-25-00. It's been a while since
we had it at Ruben's house. Anyway, all the regulars were back, but we
couldn't find Jed. We watched 4 movies, despite starting about 3 hours
later than normal. Drunken master was my favorite of the night.
Imagine--a Chinese movie dubbed in Japanese with Chinese and English
subtitles. Plus the fact that it not only illustrates Jackie Chan's
awesome ability, but it showcases the Drunken fighting style, which some
day I will also master. Jackie inspires not only honor, but faith in
yourself. I had always heard Pumpkinhead was supposed to be good, but I
guess I didn't pay too much attention because I didn't think it was that
great. Wild Things had nice T&A, while Hard Rock Zombies had a misleading
title. The zombies played slow, pussy rock. Honorable mention to Mia and
a guy she brought with her named Nate.
PEOPLE: Jimi, Leo, Nick P., Richard, Ruben
CANS OF SODA: 40 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 12
AT: Ruben's House
MOVIES WATCHED: Pumpkinhead 1, Wild Things, Drunken Master, Hard Rock Zombies

Night Fifteen: Saturday, 4-1-00. April Fool's day. Three decent
to good movies were watched, with Killer Party being the horror/rock 'n
roll movie for this week. Fisher King was too long for me, but it was
still good. Wizards was funny, if just for the Nazi propaganda contained
within the deceivingly animated movie. Reminded me of the movie Street
Fight. Honorable mention: Ruben, Ashley, Eliza.
PEOPLE: Jimi, Jed, Jeremy (0.5), Leo, Nick P., Richard
CANS OF SODA: 24 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 12
AT: Nick's House
MOVIES WATCHED: Wizards, Killer Party, The Fisher King

Night Sixteen: Friday Night, 4-7-00. A good overall movie night
with every movie being deemed 'sweet' by all. Not really much else to say
about it suprisingly, but it was good. Honorary mention to Mia.
PEOPLE: Jimi, Jed, Leo, Nick P., Richard
CANS OF SODA: 27 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 6

MOVIES WATCHED: Fistful of Dollars, Cheech and Chong: Nice Dreams,
Tampopo, Needful Things

Night Seventeen: Saturday Night, 4-15-00. Prom Night. No Ruben or
Nick because they're pussy sell-outs who went to prom. We had it at
Jimi's house for no real good reason, but we ended up going to a party
afterwards at a house not too far from his house, so it worked out. We
are as of now planning to get wrestling videos for movie nights each time.
Honorable mention to: Mrs. Yanity, her boyfriend Tim, Mia, Miranda, Mary
Yanity, Thomas Blower, and Becca Stromdahl. Royal Rumble 1991 Best Match:
Rockers vs. Orient Express

MOVIES WATCHED: WWF Royal Rumble 1991, Frezno Smooth, Lake Placid

Night Eighteen: Friday Night, 4-21-00. I got these reulsts from
Ruben almost a week late, so I apolgize for my jackass not updating. Who
am I kidding, noone reads this. Anyway, we watched some movie, talked
about how movie night isn't a party (take that Neil, who thinks it is for
some reason, despite coming I believe one time), and talked about the
upcoming Backyard Bash wrestling event we are planning. NWA Starrcade 1986
Best Match: Tully Blanchard vs. Dusty Rhodes (NWA Television Champ) --
Strap match.

MOVIES WATCHED: NWA Starrcade 1986, Wicked City (Live action version),

Night Nineteen: Saturday, 4-30-00. Good movie night, featuring the
re-appearance of Jesse Dillon. We'd been trying to get it worked out so
he could show up again for the last few weeks, but schedules conflicted.
Hopefully he'll be able to come on a regular basis. Anyway, Jimi didn't
come because he's a pussy. No wrestling movie this week because I was
outvoted, so on 4-31 I went out and rented Ultimate Fighting Championship:
Ultimate Ultimate. It was ok, the best match was Dan Severn vs. Tank Abbott.
Not technically wrestling, but it's still shootfighting, so it's all good.
PEOPLE: Jed, Jesse D., Leo, Nick P., Richard, Ruben

AT: Leo's House
MOVIES WATCHED: Fight Club, Bride of Re-Animator, Adventures of Buckaroo
Bonzai in the 8th Dimension, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3

Night Twenty: Saturday, 5-6-00. My only problem with this night is
we decided to go to Sav-A-Lot for out pop needs. The have the shittiest
"pop" in the world, hands down. I used to like Strawberry patch, but for
some reason this time it tasted like cough syrup. also there was this
other kind that came in packs of 24 8oz. containers....for like $2!! It
would have been a lot better if it actually tasted good. Other than that,
it was all good. No wrestling video again this week, so I'll review one
of my own. Mitsuharu Misawa: The Championship years chronicles 6 of his
best matches ever against opponents Steve Williams (twice), Stan Hansen
(twice), Toshiaki Kawada (twice), Akira Taue, and Kenta Kobashi. The best
match is definatly Misawa vs. Kawada (either of them). They put on *****
on a regular basis, and these matches are no exceptions.

Night Twenty-One: Friday, 5-12-00. Leo, Jed and I decided to have
a movie night that night. We called up Ruben who had other plans with
something to do with a "videogame night", which is a bunch of jerks
sitting around playing video games and being gay. We e-mailed Nick, who
had been visiting a college that day, but he didn't write back. Later
that night we were going uptown to drop Jed off and saw Nick's car there.
Apparently he had better things to do than hang out with us. We didn't
call Jimi because he had told me he'd be busy this weekend. So basically
we were sold out by our other members, and were none too happy about it,
for the most part. I know I was pissed at least, and remain to be. I
guess I can't fault any of them really because the "videogame night" was
apparently planned in advance, and we knew nick was going to be gone until
later in the night, but it's still a dishonor. Anyway, about the actual
night. We decided to rent a wrestling video, much to my happiness. We
got Wrestlemania 8. The best match was Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage for the
WWF title, and Roddy Piper vs. Bret Hart for the WWF Intercontinental
Title was really good as well. Unfortunatly, due to the severe lack of
people we were all dozing off at various times because there just wasn't
enough activity, coupled with the fact that my basement induces tired-ness.

Night Twenty-Two: Saturday Night, 5-20-00. I believe this is the
last Movie Night before my school ends, so after this there will
be more on Wednesdays and other various weekdays. We were with Carson
earlier in the day but he never came out, and Jimi never showed up either.
We rented Max Headroom but didn't watch it this time. Deep Red ruled
above all, I was actually scared afterwards while walking around my house.
If you see it you'll know why. Fear of the Black Hat was a let down.
I've been asked to stop talking about wrestling videos unless we actually
watch them, so for once I will comply with what other people want. The
main plus side to this night was I believe my mom and that pigfucker Joe
broke up, because while looking around the house this morning he was
packing all his redneck shit up getting the fuck out. I was happy beyond
words.

Nick's house. Ruben couldn't come because of previous plans, and Jimi is
at Woodward or something. That's all...I've got to say...about THAT.
Also, All the movies were good, except I now know why I never saw Hackers:
the plot is horrible and the clothes and speech are worse! If that's

said that there were tons of people throughout the night, in excess of 15
coming and going. I had to work that night, and Ruben was leaving the

Night Thrity: Friday, November 3. After what was at least a two
month hiatus from Movie Night, we planned to get back together. With
Ruben and Carson out of town for school, it was going to just be me, Nick,
Leo, and Jimi. Jimi no showed, despite having said he'd come earlier in
the week. So Leo, Nick and I made the best of the situation with three
movies. Mountainside Motel Massacre was horrible. No nudity, bad deaths,
and no plot = average at best. Kurt and Courtney only furthered my theroy
that Courtney killed God, a.k.a. Kurt Cobain. And Last but not least, Get
Carter was quite a fine movie, and I can't believe a remake of it starring
STALLONE could possbily be bad. Sounds pretty impossible to me. This was
Movie Night #94 I think. From now on I'll be coutning down till the Huge,
Momentus, Movie Night #100. It could be a few weeks, it could be next
year. However, since we get 2 months off from school in a few weeks, I
figure it'll come around Christmas. Movie Night #100 will take place on

History X was awesome, Citizen Kane didn't live up to the hype, Brain

for One Eye Jimmy

Night Thirty-Two: Friday, 11-19-00. The last Movie night of the
season, and number 96 overall. The countdown to #100 continues, and will
probably take place in mid-December when Ruben and Carson are both back in
town. We've decided to try to drink 100 sodas that night, so we'll see
how it pans out. Ruben made his return tonight from college, so that's
why we had one pretty much. Once again, no Jimi.
