Movie Night Season 2 (June 3 1999 - December 30 1999) Movie Night Season Two History (As of 12-31-99) (Horror Movies that Suck. This guy knows what he's talking about.) On June 3 1999 we began Movie Night Season 2. We wanted a fresh beginning, and we needed to enforce the rules more strictly. We added some new rules and cleared up a few old ones so now everyhting should run more smoothly. The Jedi Council (myself, Leo, and Ruben) was formed to enforce the rules and decide on what should be done about them. But let's get one thing straight: most rules will not be enforced too heavily because we're too nice and don't want to make anyone mad. Night One: Thursday Night, June 3 1999. This was the official last day of school, so of course we needed to celebrate. We got a large crew assembled for this, the first Movie Night of the new season. Any problems? Yes. The girlfriend clause was broken twice by Ruben and Jesse. Ruben's was inexcusable, but Jesse remarked that he 'cared more about the movies than the rules', so we give credit for that. Ruben said he 'chose to ignore the rule' which is inexcusable. Anyway, this night the Jedi Council was formed, we created the Merit system, and blew the pop record out of the water. That last one would be more significant if we continued adding the scores from Season 1 and 2, but we wont. Any scores will now be exclusive to their season. Honorable mention to the apearances of Matt Handley and Elahu Sustarsic. PEOPLE: Caroline, Carson, D, Jesse D., Katie, Leo, Leslie (0.5), Nick P., Richard, Ruben, Zeb CANS OF SODA: 58 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 40 AT: Leo's House MOVIES WATCHED: Apt Pupil, Predator, Deliverance, Sleepaway Camp 1 Night Two: Tuesday Night, 6-8-99. Honorable mention to Rachel and Jesse P. We started at about 7:30PM, which has been the standard recently. It was: me, Nick P., Katie, Ruben, and Leo to begin with. Shortly after, Chris and J came in. Then Carson came over, and lastly Chris went out and picked up Zeb and Jesse. Jesse and Katie left soon after that. Stroke of Ninjitsu is a movie Ezra made. It is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, but it only last 5 or 6 minutes. Other than that, it was a pretty good movie night. PEOPLE: Carson, Chris, J, Katie, Leo, Nick P., Richard, Ruben, Zeb CANS OF SODA: 42 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 27 AT: Richard's House MOVIES WATCHED: Saturday the 14th, Tron, Stroke of Ninjitsu (0.5), Henry Night Three: Tuesday Night, 6-15-99. We again started at 6:30 at Magic Video with me, Chris, Zeb, Shane, Jamie, and Carson. We rented Suburbia, Tetsuo the Iron Man, and Blood Diner. We also watched Caddyshack. People were coming in and out throughout the night, but ones who came and stayed are: Ruben, Nick P., and Leo. PEOPLE: Carson (0.5), Chris, J (0.5), Jamie, Jesse D. (0.5), Jesse P. We were not successful until almost the whole way through the night. We watched 3 movies: Out of Body, Dancing Outlaw, and Twice Dead. PEOPLE: Nick P., Richard, Ruben, Zeb CANS OF SODA: 21 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 5 AT: Richard's House MOVIES WATCHED: Twice Dead, Dancing Outlaw, Out of Body Night Six: Sunday Night, 6-27-99. Honorable mention to: Dawna Roeder, Lindsey Daniels, and Celeste Platt. Yet another one at my house. I guess some people thought it was a party, but we all know that movie night is the anti-party. There was some joke about 3 midgets and Jesse Parrotti, but I won't bore you with the details because you've probably heard it. We watched 4.5 movies. PEOPLE: Carson (0.5), Ezra, Jeremy (0.5), Jesse P., Leo, Nick P., Richard, Ruben, Tedd (0.5), Zeb CANS OF SODA: 40.5 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 7 AT: Richard's House MOVIES WATCHED: Archaeology Home Movie (0.5), Garbage Pail Kids, Sleepaway Camp 2, FreeJack, and Return of the Living Dead 3 Night Seven: Saturday Night, 7-3-99. Honorable mention to Jimi, Pete, Ezra, and Art Cornwell. This was a weird one because for some reason Zeb and Jeremy and Carson didn't show up, even though they said they would. We watched 4 awesome movies. Unfortunately the girlfriend clause was broken by Chris, so that sucks, but other than that it was alright. PEOPLE: Chris, Leo, Natalie (0.5), Nick P., Richard CANS OF SODA: 33 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 15 AT: Chris and Pete's new place MOVIES WATCHED: Hardware Wars, Henry Rollins: Talking From the Box, The Hitcher, Shakes the Clown Night Eight: Thursday Night, 7-9-99. Honorable mention to Maceo, who delivered our pizzas. I got there about 10 minutes late, but Ruben, Nick P., Leo, Matt, Chris, and Natalie were there. Jeremy got there right when I did. We watched 4 movies, all of which were very good. Girlfriend clause broken once again by Chris, but they make sure to watch themselves and not make out or anything, so I don't mind too much. Honorable mention to: Josh Bear, Jed Cranford, Jed Collins, Pete, Ben, Lindsey, Jeremy, and some chicks. It was an alright movie night. The werid thing is this: Chris said he had to pick up Natalie (unfortunatly) so he left during the first movie. He didnt come back for over 3 hours, and we were wondering what happend. It was pretty fucked up, but it all worked out in the end, except Natalie was there and she sucks. PEOPLE: Carson (0.5), Chris (0.5), J, Leo, Natalie (0.5), Nick P., Richard, Ruben CANS OF SODA: 51 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 36 AT: Chris and Pete's New Place MOVIES WATCHED: Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho (original), American Gothic, Attack of the Killer Tomatos Night Ten: Sunday, 7-18-99. We had filmed a movie called Zombie Attack earlier in the day, so we watched that a few times because it was only 6 minutes long. DIShonorable mention to Jesse P. for being sick and coming in and drinking our shit straight from the 2-liter, and to Natalie for being there at all. Othat than that It was alright. Honorable mention to Jed Collins, Pete, Chyna, Kevin Smith, and possibly others. We did this at Chris' house, but unfortunatly Ruben couldn't make it and Nick P. is still at Philmont, so we were without their presence. Natalie was unfortunatly there as well, but we pretty much overlooked it this time because she was asleep half the time anyway. Other than that it was a good movie night. Honorable mention to: Pete, Eric, Chyna, Ezra, many others. Yeah, so the night before this one we made a movie where we made robot costumes and went and messed around in the Krogers parking lot. That day we made another movie called "Attack of the Love Story", but we did not watch either on Movie Night. Anyway we got 4 cool movies this time, including Road Warrior which is one of my favorite movies of all time anyway. PEOPLE: Carson (0.5), Chris, James, Jimi (0.5), Leo, Mia (0.5), Richard CANS OF SODA: 45 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 10 AT: Chris and Pete's New Place MOVIES WATCHED: Pink Flamingos, Porky's Revenge, The Road Warrior, Candyman Night Thirteen: Tuesday Night, 8-3-99. Honorable mention to Jesse P. I hated BOTH "Plan" movies. They sucked more than I would have expected, and I was not expecting a whole lot. Trees Lounge rules becuse it is written, directed, and starring Steve Buscemi. PEOPLE: Chris (0.5), Jesse D. Honorable mention to Pete. Because it was Friday the 13th we had a big Movie Night planned. The key word is "had". Sadly, Leo, Ruben, and Carson could not make it. But anyway, we watched parts 3-5 of the Friday the 13th series. Also, this movie night marcked the first appearance of Chris' "Lady Friend" Nickie. Not a bad movie night, but it was at my house and I don't like them at my house. Other than that, fine (well Jon was there and he sucks, but nothing could be done about that). Honorable mention to Erin Jeffers and her sister Sarah. Also, Carson made a return appearance from college this weekend so he showed up as well. PEOPLE: Carson (0.5), Chris, J, Leo, Nick P., Nickie (0.5), Richard, Ruben (0.5) CANS OF SODA: 39 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 14 AT: Richard's House MOVIES WATCHED: Butcher Boy, Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde: Together Again, Disturbing Behavior Night Twenty: Friday Night, 9-17-99. We started this one off with 4 movies. After the first movie Nick showed up, he had been pissed off because of something I did, naturally. So it's all worked out. Sid also showed up at some point, so he gets honorable mention. That's it. PEOPLE: Chris, Jimbo, Leo, Nick P., Richard, Ruben, Zeb CANS OF SODA: 36 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 12 AT: Ruben's House MOVIES WATCHED: Monthy Python's The Meaning of Life, The Hidden, Blood Guts Bullets and Octane, Ricky Oh Night Twenty-One: Saturday Night, 9-25-99. What a wild and crazy night this was. Lots of first appearances from people and Valerie's graciously letting us use her house made for a fun night. Only downside: when we went into town to pick up Ruben around 9:30 or so his sister said he wasn't home but he realy was, so we missed him by a matter of him being downstairs when we came over. Bogus. PEOPLE: Abi (0.5), Ashley (0.5), Burt (0.5), Cate, Chris, Jed 2, Leo, Nick P., Richard, Timbo, Valerie CANS OF SODA: 57 AMMOUN CHERRY: 12 AT: Valerie's House MOVIES WATCHED: Watership Down, Dr. Giggles, Ravenous, Highlander, The Matrix Night Twenty-Two: Saturday Night, 10-9-99. A very large movie night. Lots of people and lots of pop drinken. Strangely enough, almost everyone stayed for the whole night, which has become less common recently. We broke the amount of people in one night record for this season with 13. First appearances of Gina and John. PEOPLE: Cate, Chris, Gina, J, Jimbo, John, Leo, Nick P., Nickie, Pine, Richard, Ruben, Timbo, Valerie CANS OF SODA: 62 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 12 AT: Chris' House MOVIES WATCHED: Labrynth, Tank Girl, La Cage Aux Zombies: a towering inferno of blood guts and humor, Terminator 1 Night Twenty-Four: Friday Night, 10-22-99. A small group of people for this movie night. Ruben was only allowed to have 5 people there, so we went with the core group. Unfortunatly, that meant a lot of people couldn't come, but I feel every now and then we need small movie nights just to get shit together. Other than that it was a pretty cool night. PEOPLE: Chris, Leo, Nick P., Richard, Ruben CANS OF SODA: 24 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 11 AT: Ruben's House MOVIES WATCHED: Nailgun Massacre, Nightwish, Terminator 2 Night Twenty-Five: Saturday Night, 11-6-99. We once again gathered at Chris' house for another movie night. This time we had the ever elusive Cherry 7-up (coutresy of Timbo), and we enjoyed it thoroughly. honorable mention to J. Not a bad night but nothing of greatness to really tell. Jimmy kicked J's ass though, and it was funny. Cherry 7-up was had again. PEOPLE: Chris, D, J, Jed 2, Jimi, Leo, Nickie (0.5), Nick P., Richard, Ruben, Timbo CANS OF SODA: 51 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 13 AT: Leo's House MOVIES WATCHED: Surf Nazis Must Die!, Decline of Western Civilization 2: The Metal Years, Gleaming the Cube, Love & Human Remains Night Twenty-Seven: Saturday Night, 11-20-99. We went about making this night possible completely ass-backwards. We didn't start till like 8 or 9, didn't buy that much pop, had it at a brand new house, and basically had the best movie night we've had in a long time. Only downsides: my ass hurt from sitting on the floor the whole night. First appearances by the lovely Harmony, Lara, and Harmony's mom Marsha. First time we've had a movie night at any of Ezra's places of residency. PEOPLE: Ezra, Lara (0.5), Leo, Harmony, Marsha, Nick P., Richard, Ruben CANS OF SODA: (a pathetic) 15 AMMOUNT CHERRY: (also pathetic) 9 AT: Ezra, Harmony, and Marsha's House MOVIES WATCHED: Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Nightmare on Drug Street, Time Bandits Night Twenty-Eight: Saturday Night, 11-27-99. We had it at Ruben's house. Lots of people and several new appearances. The main topic of discussion was a "what if" scenario. What I mean by that is "what if something happend, what would be the outcome?" Subjects included: lightsabres vs. Wolverine's adamantium claws, Conan the Barbarian vs. Arnold's character from Predator, Batman vs. Predator, Lucifer vs. anything, and Green Lantern (with full ring energy) vs. Dr. Octopus. PEOPLE: Bebo (0.5), Chris (0.5), Dustin (0.5), Jesse P., Leo, Molly (0.5), Nick P., Nickie (0.5), Richard, Ruben, Tedd CANS OF SODA: 44 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 17 AT: Ruben's House MOVIES WATCHED: Henry 2, Chris' production class videos, The Day The Earth Caught Fire, Straw Dogs Night Twenty-Nine: Saturday Night, 12-4-99. Not bad. We had it at Jeremy's house, but the strange thing is he was only there not even enough to be official. Honorable mentions to: Beth, Molly, Jesse P., Ellen, Jeremy, Jeremy Roth, Leia, and Nickie. The thing is, most of those people were for most of the first movie, but it was like 2 1/2 hours, and since they all left before the movie ended none of them count. Cryin' shame. PEOPLE: Chris, Leo, Nick P., Richard, Ruben CANS OF SODA: 44 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 12 AT: Jeremy's House MOVIES WATCHED: Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Shining, Nowhere Night Thirty: Saturday Night, 12-18-99. VERY good movie night, until the end when Chris' dad kicked us out because he's an asshole. Lots of people, but strangely it didn't ruin this night. Some girl none of us knew except Chris came and I think her name was Michelle, so I'll list her as that. Luckily, she stayed quiet. Honorable mention to Travis. Only bad aspect is that my authority was threatened in lieu of Ruben's absence and Leo's late arrival. Rules MUST be followed, or you can't come. I gave into Chris this time because it was at his house. PEOPLE: Chris, J, Jimi, Katie, Leo, Mark (0.5), Michelle, Molly, Nick P., Richard CANS OF SODA: 36 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 24 AT: Chris' House MOVIES WATCHED: The Haunting (original), Muppets in Space, Silent Night Deadly Night 2 Night Thirty-One: Thursday Night, 12-23-99. Our now-annual pre-Christmas movie night. Last year's heralded (I think) Nick P.'s first appearance, so needless to say he wasn't allowed to come this time. Just kidding! Ahem...so anyway it was a fairly good night. All the movies were awesome and since it was at my house we didn't get kicked out early and there was noone there to harass us. PEOPLE: Chris (0.5), Jesse, Jimi, Katie, Leo, Molly, Nick P., Richard, Tedd CANS OF SODA: 37 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 24 AT: Richard's House MOVIES WATCHED: Mark of the Beast, American Pie, Black Christmas, Batman Night Thirty-Two: Thursday Night, 12-30-99. The last movie night of season two, as well as the last one of the year 1999. This was originally going to be just honorary and official members, but we invited Jimmy and Chris brought Jesse P. and Jon (even though we told him NOT TO BRING ANYONE, but Jesse is ok because we all like him. Jon sucks.) Anyway, a lot more people ended up showing up. Oh well. PEOPLE: Carson, Chris (0.5), D, Jesse P., Jimi, Leo, Mia (0.5), Miranda (0.5), Nick P., Richard, Ruben CANS OF SODA: 44 AMMOUNT CHERRY: 33 AT: Leo's House MOVIES WATCHED: Omega Man, Cherry 2000, C.H.U.D.
